UPI Voice Alert is sold as a subscription through Google Play Billing, so refunds are processed and governed by Google Play, not by us directly. This page explains what that means for you in plain terms.
01 Overview
UPI Voice Alert is free to use, supported by ads — this page only applies to the optional Pro subscription. Every payment for Pro — each ₹149/month renewal after your free trial ends — is collected through Google Play Billing. We never receive your card number or UPI details, and we don't operate a separate payment or refund system outside of Google Play. This means Google Play's own refund rules, not a policy we write ourselves, ultimately decide whether and how much you get back.
02 The 3-day free trial
| Period | Price |
|---|---|
| First 3 days | Free |
| After day 3, monthly | ₹149 / month, auto-renewing |
You are not charged anything during the 3-day trial, so there is nothing to refund during that period — a payment method is required to start the trial, but it is only charged if you keep Pro past day 3. If you cancel during the trial, you keep Pro until the trial ends and are never charged the ₹149 renewal. Cancelling Pro at any time simply returns you to the free, ad-supported plan — you never lose the ability to use the app. The first real charge is the ₹149 renewal once the trial ends, which is covered under Monthly renewals below.
03 Monthly renewals
Once you're on the ₹149/month Pro plan, each renewal is a fresh charge for the coming month of access. If you're charged for a renewal you didn't intend — for example, you cancelled but the cancellation didn't take effect in time, or you were charged after already deleting your account — request a refund through Google Play using the steps below. Google Play reviews these on a case-by-case basis against its own refund policy, generally within a short window of the charge date.
We don't offer partial refunds for unused days within a billing period you were correctly charged for and knowingly continued using — cancelling simply stops the next renewal, as explained below.
04 Requesting a refund
Refunds are requested directly through Google, not through us:
Open the Google Play Store app on your phone.
Tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history.
Find the UPI Voice Alert charge, tap it, and select Request a refund (or report a problem) if that option is available for the charge.
Alternatively, visit support.google.com/googleplay and search "request a refund" for Google's current step-by-step instructions, since Google occasionally changes this flow.
05 Cancellation is not a refund
Cancelling your subscription (Settings → Manage Subscription in the app, or Play Store → Subscriptions → Cancel) stops future renewals — it does not refund anything you've already been charged for. You keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for, then the subscription simply doesn't renew.
06 Our role in the process
Because Google Play Billing handles every charge, we don't have the ability to issue refunds directly or override a Google Play refund decision. What we can do: help you figure out what happened (for example, confirming whether a cancellation was recorded correctly on our side), and point you to the right place in Google Play to request a refund. Contact us and we'll help however we can.
07 Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of UPI Voice Alert after a change means you accept the updated policy.
